Living with a dog in Aix-en-Provence

Aix en Provence (13), a city where History, Modernity and Culture mix in addition to its Provençal charm.

A city with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, where you can stroll through the pedestrian streets in the heart of the city between shops and restaurants but also stroll in the hills where magnificent olive groves grow.

Aix en Provence (13) is therefore the perfect place for all our canine companions in the Bouches du Rhône (13).

Whether you are on vacation in the Pays D'Aix or a permanent resident, here are some tips.

First of all for the walks:

Old Aix: don't hesitate to get lost in the small streets of the city center, they are mainly pedestrianized, so your dogs will feel confident.

It is the perfect ground to socialize your puppies, to cross the world, you will be able to discover small places and fountains, ideal to refresh your companions, especially during the summer.

Le Pavillon Vendôme: in the heart of the city, during a stroll in the French gardens, you can work on your education in this park where calm reigns.

Remember to keep your dog on a leash all over town.

Le Terrain des Peintres: this place will allow you to take a walk on the land of the famous painter Paul Cézanne and enjoy a magnificent view of the Sainte Victoire.

Le Parc de la Torse: a park of around 8 hectares, including a pond, but it is reserved for fish, ducks and other birds. You will therefore have to keep your dogs on a leash to avoid any temptation!

Le Val de l'Arc: the ideal place to meet other dogs and socialize your puppy. You can stroll along the river with larger, shaded areas where you can train your dog to rappelling, or work on a relaxed leash.

For the more athletic, owner and / or dog, it is possible to go Cani-Rando on the Sainte Victoire trails until reaching the Croix de Provence via the Priory.

From the top of this mountain, you will have a magnificent panorama which will allow you to observe Aix, Marseille, the Mediterranean and the Alps.

On the other hand, remember to equip yourself with a bowl and water for this ascent and prefer spring to avoid heatstroke.

For dogs who love water, it is possible to visit the Gorges du Verdon (located 1h30 from Aix en Provence) by renting canoes or pedal boats with
